Is there anyway to make the flip clock stay the flip clock?

What I mean by that is for whatever reason whenever I soft reset my phone or when it wakes up sometimes, the flip clock is gone and the normal clock is there again until I slide my finger down the screen.

Is there anyway to make it always be the flip clock and lock it there?
