Re: GC's Touch Pro ROMs & Kitchen 2.1.0

GC,

I'm probably the only person in the world that uses JetCet printing, but the version in the ROM does not seem to connect to a bluetooth printer. Even without a BT printer you can test it by starting the program, clicking on the "Add Bluetooth Printer" icon then clicking "Select to search". When it works, it will actually try and find a printer and there will be a delay while it goes out and searches. The results I get is that it instantly comes back with "Select to restart search" without even attempting to search. This is on a Verizonized Sprint TP, so curious if anyone gets it to work on standared VZW hardware or with Sprint or other carriers. It does work with the shipped ROM.

In trying to solve the issue by DLing and applying the latest update from the manufacturers web site, I noticed another issue that may affect all ROMs for all I know, but the when installing the upgrade, I could tell that certain files were not updated because the timestamp of the file in the ROM (which was the date that the ROM was created) was newer than the timestamp of the file that it was trying to update, so it never copied it over.

So my question is that is there an option when cooking a ROM to allow the original date of the files to be kept instead of changing them to the date the ROM was cooked. I realized that some folks would just OEM the update and re-cook their ROM, but it seems that if you forgot or some software tried to update a system file when installing (even during customization) that depending on the installation routine, it could fail and lead to issues.

Feel free to ignore me (or point me to the thread I should have read before posting) if I'm just being ignorant and if this has all been discusses before

Thanks in Advance,

Dan
