Noob Radio Freq. Question
Hi all,
Ive been wondering this for some time and cant seem to find anything searching the forums.
I know our Cell Phones all use several specific digital radio frequencies for talk, bluetooth, wi-fi etc. They're pretty powerful little transievers.
My question is;
Since we're able to hack the device's ROM and registry so easily, is there a way to modify the frequencies it uses?
For instance you could change the bluetooth transmission freq. to transmit powerfully on FM or Radio HD frequencies thus eliminating the need for an external FM Transmitter.
Or maybe change the frequency of wi-fi radio to receive FM, AM, HAM, Shortwave, Police, Fire, Aircraft or similar?
Just wondering because a radio is still a radio right? and if its all digitally controlled why cant we change the "Station"??
This may be a stupid question to some, but I've always wondered why no one has mentioned this. MY only thought is the possibility of some kind of hardware restriction preventing this.
Thanks for any input. Any specifics would be greatly appreciated.
