okay, when you get this error, make sure to read the recovery tab listed. It should tell you to disconnect the device, take battery out for 3 seconds, put it back in and restart. it should restart normally not in bootloader screen (tricolor). if its normal, then plug it back it, establish active sync which means it should ask you to sync or cancel. You can still use active sync without by selecting cancel. that is what I do.
