I just tested, and yes it wakes. I have not really done anything customization, registry changes yet.
Mind you, I don't use push email and my 911 location is on.
My data isn't active and has not been once after taking it off the charger, hence why I said very minimal usage.
I'll charge it to full and test it out tonight with a bit more usage, seeing as I use my phone a lot more on weekend nights
