Re: [DEC 5th New Telus Radio V1.04.05V] Official CDMA Diamond Radio Thread

After using the VZW radio for about 2 weeks I tried the Telus. Been using the Telus V1.04.05V radio for a little over a week. Results are a bit more consistent this time around compared to the first time I tried it out which was during the holiday (usage/location wasn't as consistent). This isn't scientific by any means. Just a mere comparison of the radios according to my usage.

Compared to Stock Sprint:
-better battery life (up ~25%)
-significantly decreased heat (I tethered, streamed music/video heavily and the device only feels warm, not quite "hot")
-slightly increased signal (an extra bar or 2 in various places in the 35 mile radius I live, work, school)

Compared to VZW:
-5-10% more battery than VZW
-larger heat decrease than VZW radio
-VZW signal is on par with the Sprint most of the time. Slightly better on occasion.

Data speeds are pretty much the same on all radios. I tested in multiple places and dozens of times one after the other and on several different days. It didn't seem to vary much at all. This was also the same result with GPS usage. The Telus radio is definitely better all around for me.
