I have never seen or heard of a device failing because of the soft reset button becoming damaged. My PPC-6700 & PPC-6800 work perfectly, and those got a soft reset every single day.

Thanks to the OP for posting the .gif's, I'm actually using them now. I like it because it's a speed thing. By the time you reach for the stylus, I'm already resetting the phone. Plus I hate to see any of my co-workers looking at me while I'm sticking it to my phone. LOL!
