I can confirm, however, that after flashing back to a backup made by SPB under the old ROM version does not fix the keyboard issue-- it must be something at a lower level than just OS files and Registry.
I was on the phone with a tech at Sprint's PDA department last night, and after telling me that they have done the updates on their own phones and haven't seen the issue, I was able to get him to confirm his ROM version as the old one, at which point he got a friend's Mogul which had been flashed and tested it and confirmed the issue along with a few other techs that were there.
Apparently nobody had called in (at least to the american PDA support department) about the issue yet, so I had an extremely hard time convincing him that it existed in every phone that gets flashed with it... But it seems like it is confirmed with their department now, and he said they'll be bringing it up to work on it. He sent me a replacement phone, because I want a working keyboard, and that'd be the fastest way until they get a flasher to restore it back to the original ROM. They seem like they are on top of that issue at least, though...
