Re: Touch Pro Cleanup (Sprint Edition)
GoodThings2Life - I had a couple of questions about the Internet Sharing Hack that I was hoping that you would help explain to me.
From the Touch Pro Essentials thread I noticed the following:
Hack Internet Sharing to work: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing] Delete Extension key, set/create MaxCMCon=0 (decimal). [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing\settings] Set ForceCellConnection="Sprint"
I installed the "Tweaks Only" version of the Touch Pro Cleanup file. Today, I was browsing the registry with Total Commander and I confirmed that:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing\settings] Set ForceCellConnection="Sprint"
was set to Sprint.
However, I noticed that in:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing]
that the extension key still existed and that there did not appear to be a MaxCMCon file.
Does the "Tweaks Only" version of the Touch Pro Cleanup include the internet sharing hack? If so, why is the registry different than the registry described in Touch Pro Essentials? Is there any significance in the differences between the two (i.e., "Tweaks Only" leaves extension key in registry whereas the Touch Pro Essentials thread instructs to delete the extension key and add a MaxCMCon file with a decimal value set to "0")?
