GPS to be enabled w/ rev.a upgrade ?
This was posted over at evdoforums.com on the 15th..
Posted by a long-time member and site admin. According to him this is confirmed by somebody he knows at sprint. What do you all think?
"For those playing with your new PPC-6800 Mogul, you may have discovered that GPS is NOT a feature of the PPC-6800.
However, have you heard about the firmware upgrade (available in a few months), that will add EVDO Rev A capability? There will be one other cool surprise with this firmware upgrade...
Internal GPS will be enabled.
That will allow GoogleMaps, GPS Directions and Sprint Locator Service to all work.
I cannot wait!"
