Sometimes having the low light is nice, but a lot of times it is annoying. It is still pretty bright, and whenever I'm trying to take pictures of people while using the flash they are always squinting because of how bright the "low" light is.
Ideal performance, as mentioned above, would be for it to just act like a normal camera, maybe even flash the light once or twice before actually taking the picture (for red-eye reduction).
