Re: Verizon first-time Noob - missing anything?

Thanks again for the response. In read through the links above, I have a few questions to make sure I understand, in addition to what you just added.

1) I've read in a couple places that if your bootloader is version 1.04, 1.06, or 2.07 then you must unlock your phone and upgrade to 2.40 or 2.47 [I am currently on version 1.04 (SPL-1.04.0000)]. Based on this, is it correct that:

a) I could use either OliPro MFG 2.40 [Hard SPL] or nueSPL-2.40 correct? I can't seem to find why I would use one over the other though a couple Verizon users seemed to use the OliPro one...
EDIT: Just read that nueSPL-2.47 can be run from an SD card which is what I had planned (in that it is one advantage of using that version) so does that mean OliPro 2.40 cannot be used on an SD card? My concern over using nueSPL 2.47 is reading this:
"IMPORTANT: The nueROM web site indicates that nueSPL version 2.47 is designed for the HTC Titan with GPS enabled only (ROM versions 3.xx or higher). Any other device will be permanently and irreversibly damaged by this version of boot loader. (Please use your OEM's latest signed radio ROM to get to this version or higher before trying to install.)" - not sure how to interpret this as a noob :/

b) From what I understand, once I install an updated bootloader, I can no longer start the phone until I also update the corresponding radio and ROM correct?

2) I was planning on using (according to the quick VZ guide link above) a version of Titan Radio ROM 3.42.50 (Official/Alltel Update) and DCD Titan ROM 3.3.4 [Nov 10, 2008] but you mentioned WM 6.1 ROM which basically just means any ROM that is MS WM 6.1, including but not limited to DCD 3.3.4 correct?

Thanks again
