Incorrect. You cant just add the 3 pictures resolutions together, and get a higher resolution picture . It simply does NOT work that way. At any point in the panoramic picture, the resolution is still 3.2mp if taken with a 3.2 mp camera.

If you take a 6 shot panoramic picture with my 10mp Casio, you do NOT, NOT, NOT get a 60mp resolution picture.
