It is definately not cramped. What I like about it is its flat surface (unlike the bumpy 6700). I'm still not sure though about the navigation pad and its uneven size but in the long term it will definately feel smoother on the thumb than the 6700 joystick.
And as far as overall esthetic, I don't know how one can make a fair assessment, those pictures I took are so blurry lol
