Are you using FAT32 or NTFS? A couple of people in the apache forum said switching from FAT32 to NTFS fixed it for them (can't imagine why that'd work, but that's what they say)

Can't connect to the server. Probably the server that is hosting the update information is offline or not reachable. Please try again at a later time.

I am using CricKet Broadband for my internet. Running XP Pro, the newest .net framework, and all Windows updates are current. There is no firewall active or anything like that.

Now, here is where I get stumped. If I connect up with my phone to the internet (tether) the updater works just fine. The problem is, this option will take forever and a day. I really would like to use my broadband connection.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
The good news is that you can download the stuff manually. Updater is a convenience, not necessity. Does your broadband connection have a proxy server between you and the net? Updater can be configured to work w/ a proxy server.
