the recent programs accessed are most likely on the tab... and the start menu buttons are hard to press when you're using your fingers without the large start menu enabled (which makes the start menu shortcuts very tiny, which again, leaves you with a system that's hard to use your fingers with). i use more than 18 programs. i wouldn't object to having another 3x3 area on the tab.
