In those cases, you can press one extra key (just one) and continue on your way, or disable it altogether in the registry. WinMo devices are not for the technically inept, imo.

The issue with google maps is not within Samsung, Verizon, or Microsoft's control.

Regarding the comment "If I want a gaming system, I will get a PSP or DS, and both of those beat the crap out of the iPhone for gaming."
I invite you to read this which just so happens to be an article which pretty much clinched my decision to buy the iphone http://videogames.yahoo.com/feature/goodbye-sony-psp/1276225
When waiting for an airplane, I also dont want to be carrying around a nintendo DS or PSP. I'm a dork, but I'm also a busioness proferssional and I draw the line at carrying around a portable gaming system on top of my phone, laptop, and mp3 player. It is a double standard I know, but I also feel much more comfortable/adult sitting in an airport using my phone to play such games. (rather than a PSP or DS)
Besides the phone itself, I should add again that the Microsoft Echange application also works much better (and is more finger friendly) on the iphone.

Just clarify - To unlock the Omni'as in-call lock (for number entry)- 2 buttons need to be pressed. The unlock buttoin and THEN the 'keypad' menu bar needs to be selected. Very annoying when checking voicemail (to have to do this every time).

Having to disable the lock in the Omnia's registry along with all the other issues I've mentioned (which 'can be addressed') gets tiring.
Again, I though my comments would be helpful to those considering the Omnia. - It appears you have to change every default (The Alarm, The keyboard, the lock, the widgets, etc) on the phone to get it to be usable.

If customizing a phone is what your into, than maybe the Omnia is a perfect fit for you.
However It seems that if USING the phone is more of a priority to you, that the Iphone may be a better fit.
