As far as bloat, I'd add "clutter" to that as well. Who really needs a bunch of programs that will never be used just hanging out? It's not really hurting performance as it might have with the 6700 (I don't beleive it was a real issue with the 6800) but it sure is nice to be rid of them.
For anyone that is sceptical, it's very easy to unlock, flash and then see for yourself using the readily available resources here. If it's not all that anyone is saying or just doesn't live up to expectations, going back is just as easy.

Yup it is easy fairly east to flash and reflash your phone. I'm definitely NOT advocating not flashing (I've done it numerous times).
But I just don't think it is "drastically faster" as everyone claims. Yes it can clear away some unused programs. Yes, it can be perceptionally faster, but I still think that so far the ROM upgrades give you incremental improvements not the drastic improvements that everyone says it is.
There really isn't that "killer app" that makes the ROM upgrades an ABSOLUTE must (like the GPS in the mogul). The FM radio would be cool but that's not quite there yet.
But I do agree with the previous poster in that it's easy to flash. So if you are inclined flash away!
Numbers would be nice... and could put an end to all debate.
