This is what the did for my GF's phone (Samsung Rant) to fix the going straight to voicemail problem. So far, this is working now. Again, It's not the phone, it's most likely settings or profiles. She has experienced EXACTLY the same issues as you are and she also got her Rant replaced and still had the same problems.
