the picturemail interface should look like the pic i attached, on the original ROM, or on a custom ROM.
if yours doesn't, maybe uninstall/reinstall. be sure to do a soft reset after installing, even if it doesn't prompt you to. the cab from the sprint powerdeck site should work fine on most ROMs.
edit: forgot to add - after intall/soft reset, go to the picturemail app, choose menu/new mail and the phone will configure itself to use picture mail.
