Thats the thing! Its not in the remove programs list, and the newer version doesnt overwrite the older one either, I end up with two Google Maps shortcuts in Programs, and on start menu items, I cant remove the older googlemaps included in the ROM or add the Newer google maps to the start menu.

I'm begining to imagine that the only way of removing it would be to Cook the ROM? I know there isn't any custom ROMs for the 914c, but I wouldn't mind having a bash at it myself
