I've hooked up my 6700 to my laptop and set up the WiFi on the laptop as an access point and it worked just fine, both under Vista and XP. I found the easiest thing to do is just used the ICS wizard, and know which connection is your sprint one, and which is your WiFi card. I didn't test the range of my wifi card, but i imagine if you set it up with either a: a powerful wifi card as the access point, or b: run ICS over the ethernet and connect that directly to a wireless router it'd work beautifully.

The point is, there are ways to do to this.
