So I just (FINALLY!!!) successfully got the 'TF3D Config' program to run and applied the 'HTC Black' skin. Looks absolutely beautiful and meshes very well with the surrounding encasement. The *only* problem I have is that it's a bit on the sluggish side. For example - With the stock Alltel HTC Blue skin, when you scrolled over to the HOME tab it instantly showed the time and everything, no delay. Now, with the Black Skin applied, it takes maybe .5-.75 seconds. Not a massive problem, obviously, but those of us who can't set it down and are addicted to messing with it will have problems. Now I should add that yesterday I ran a customizer and upped all the cache sizes and sensitivity and all that good stuff, but like I said, I had no problems when I was using the "Alltel HTC Blue" default skin.

Is there any way to improve performance? Is this par for the coruse - modify the look and everything slows down? Anyone having similar issues or any ideas?

(PS - Just did a soft-reset to see if that would help smooth things out and now it's about 1-1.25s between tab transitions....)
