I just did it to mine, same directions as I gave you, and it stretches across the entire middle of the screen
Edit: I just checked the files from that web site and those aren't VGA files, they are qvga (thats why they look so small when you installed). I'll have to take that link down, and search for VGA skins.
Edit: The original link I posted is the correct one for the VGA Skins as they are the Developers. It seems that the site is just down at the moment. Perhaps it will be back up at a later time.
