I've heard a couple things...Some are saying it won't work if the alarm is set to vibrate. I thought the fix was the following regedit (from g-alarm - their "windows alarm bug") But at about that time I found the vibrate fix....But since then I just have used
g-alarm and haven't looked into it any further. I can play any mp3 from internal storage, it makes me do simple math to make sure I'm up, and there's nothing like some loud annoying KennyG saxaophone to get you outta bed!
