Its a proven fact rapid charging any batt shortens its life span. Thats why if you charge your phone off the usb charger it holds a charge longer then when you charge it off the ac charger. Drain your battery and charge with usb or charger then drain it and charge with this method and you will see it dont hold a charge for as long.

I mean seriously if it was ok then the manufacture would of implimented this in their roms in the first place as being able to brag about the fast charge times would be a selling point. But given the reduced batt life and the warrenty on the batts they would be spending a **** load of money replacing batts under warrenty because of their reduced life in charging them this way.
