3. My keyboard is brighter around the left numbers, but it's not a big deal and barely noticable. No problem.
5. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that in my list. I received a new voicemail notification 2 times when I was sitting right in front of my phone and it didn't ring. Completely unacceptable! I called each person back and they said they heard the phone ringing but I didn't pick up. well, it's hard for me to pick-up if the phone doesn't ring.
If Sprint's line-up of smartphones wasn't so horrendous, I wouldn't give this more than a second's thought to return. I'm studying for the CPA so I don't have time to play this return/exchange/return/exchange game and hope to luck into a better TP (if they are even out there) after the 5th try.
But when I have more time and with my insurance, Best Buy better be prepared for lots of visits from me. I'm not going to accept a phone freezing when I charge it if I don't baby it the right way. And I'm not going to adapt my use of the phone to make up for the subpar battery ("oh no, can I browse the internet for 5 mins now? I "only" have 5 bars and I might need to make a 20 minute call later and receive some texts..... hmmmm, I better not.... gotta save the battery")

Yeah it's a real shame that Sprint's line-up sucks right now. The Pro is the only phone that's a real contender right now, if you are into the super high-end phones.

I am glad you got rid of your phone, maybe it will spare the rest of us from being insulted MORE. You dont like it, then dont keep it. Seems to me why Sprint has the 30 days. Just dont call other people ignorant because they keep and love theirs.

The fact that you are insulted by someone pointing out the flaws of a cellular telephone tells me that you have an unhealthy connection to "stuff." If you have to defend it, even though you did not design it, manufacture it, or even distribute it, then you need to wake up and realize that not everyone is going to feel the same way as you. Get your tissues and go somewhere else.

i will be surprised if u are happy with any new phone that comes out. u say u don't have the issues on ur touch that u had on the pro, but i bet there was a long laundry list of other complaints for ur touch. it's hard to believe that u went thru so many pros and still couldnt find one that survived ur standards. would i be wrong to assume ur just naturally a picky person?
nothing in this world is perfect, goodluck.

If the Pro worked, as advertised, I wouldn't have had to try 6 of them until they worked. I am not very picky, but if my phone won't make it through an hour-long call without charging, and my hardware buttons are falling of the front of my phone--hell yes I am going to replace it, and I'm not going to be happy at all. You claim you have no sensitivity problems, but everytime someone makes that claim, I ask them to open up "Notes" and draw a line with their thumb, (not fingernail,) to the side of the screen--and watch the 1/4-1/2" gap between the edge of the screen and where your line stops... Many may not care about this, but I find it highly annoying that you can't use a good portion of your screen, around all the borders. This also makes it hard to scroll, close programs, whatever... Glad you like it!

Well since I have never damage one of my own devices before, I would not know. I do have full insurance, so yes, I would return it--assuming it bothered me enough. That's why I pay the premium.

In general no big issues except inconsistent battery life. I leave my phone in the same place at work every day (4-5 bars signal), with the same programs running (checks email and updates weather panel every 2 hours). I use minimal but relatively consistent data during the work day. Most days I have 80-90% battery left after 10 hours, but on multiple occasions I have had 0% (dead) to 30% battery left.
|
That tells me there is a problem right there. You are lucky, in the fact that you get some days with 90% left over. I never had that on any of my phones.
I took my Touch off the charger on Friday at 3pm, and made several calls, had OctroTalk connected the
whole time, and sent/received about 100 texts, and my phone still had 20% by the time I put it on the charger by 6pm on Saturday. All this with a measly 1100mAh battery.
You guys can defend your phone, (which I think is silly that any feels the need to defend something that they are not responsible for,) all you want. Personally I just don't care about it anymore. Just try not to get your panties in a bunch just because there is a constant influx of people having issues.
According to the polls on this very site, it was something like 60% of people had major issues with their phones... Yes they probably are keeping them, (although MOST people have returned the phone, either for exchange, or permanently,) but the ones that are keeping them are most likely stuck in the 2-year contracts. If you compare the Pro to the X1a or Omnia, it's obvious which one is at the bottom of the pecking-order.
I could take the time to rebutle with personal insults, but what's the point? The phone has problems, it didn't work, so I didn't keep it. It works for you, despite the issues, (which might not affect you,) and that is great. Move on with your lives. I am--to the X1a, most likely.
