I'd suggest not using the official rom; VZW has the gps locked down and to get gps you'll have to do a bunch of hacks anyway. As others have said, your phone is now unlocked. Welcome to ppcgeeks! Just take some deep breathes; you really are fine and it's pretty hard to really screw your phone up. You can flash the radio (it needs to be 3.+ for gps) without using a storage card. I've used both 3.42.50 (alltel) and 3.5+ (sprint). Not sure there's much of a difference. You can get the gps roms (in order to get the radio) from http://www.htc.com/us/support.aspx. The alltel upgrade is at http://www.htc.com/us/supportdownloa...act=sd&cat=all and the sprint upgrade is at http://www.htc.com/us/supportdownloa...act=sd&cat=all. Once you decide which one to use, follow directions to flash your phone. You'll hook it up to the computer like you did to unlock it. After flashing it will restart. DO NOT LET CUSTOMIZATIONS RUN. That means once you have gone through the set up and a message appears on the screen that "CUSTOMIZATIONS WILL BEGIN IN 3 SECONDS," you need to reset your phone BEFORE the customizations begin. Sounds scary but it's not tough. As soon as you see that box saying customizations will start in three seconds, soft reset using the stylus. Once you have completed resetting your phone it is now using the newest GPS radio. Choose a custom rom or build your own using the PPCKitchen. If you need more help, ask. Reread the instructions to make sure you understand them. The important thing is to not let the other carrier's customizations run. If this almost forty-seven year old woman can do it, I don't know why you can't.
