Cool Consumer Reports Top Smartphones (2008)

FWIW, Consumer Reports (Jan 2009) has listed their list of top smartphones of 2008. Lots of WM devices on there.

Certainly some odd choices on there (T-Mobile Wing? Really.) but overall sort of interesting. Nice to see the Dash on there...love that phone.

Eh, I'm sure somehow this will turn into a referendum on CR very quickly, lol. It's noted that some of the "latest" phones were too new to be included on the list.

Debate away!

Quote:
The phones were rated on 17 criteria, including voice quality, ease of use and talk time, and features like GPS navigation, camera and stereo Bluetooth. The conclusions were reached by a formula that gives more points for certain features than others.
[Edit: Turns out the list I posted (copied from another site) had the ordering slightly off. Although most of it still holds.

Santos (at TreoCentral) scanned the article rankings and are now linked here]
