worked like a charm when i did it.. ive even played a little and gone back and forth and it turns displays message on screen and doesnt display it everytime i check and uncheck...

try soft reset after unchecking????

are you using someone elses sms app other than the sprint stock 6.1 version, that could do it too..their app/prog might not of been written to recognize that box being checked or unchecked
