Re: sound quality terrible if charing
The alternator that keeps your car's electrical system charged up produces RF interference. Car radios need to be shielded against this, and it is especially noticeable on AM radio bands. Windshield wiper motors can also produce interesting RF interference.
I'm very curious to know if anyone else has experienced this -- I have an 80's era set of big Pioneer headphones (SE-205) plugged into a 3.5 adapter, plugged into the 3 way adapter that came in the box with my Sprint Touch Pro. I also have connected a standard Motorola micro USB charger (AC) plugged in to the wall. I listen to downloaded podcasts, not high quality audio -- I have not been bothered by any noise.
