I got a 15 dollar Dynex A/V cable last night from Best-Buy and sat down when I got home to start tearing apart the htc adapter ...
The case of the adapter had really tight seams and although I could have gone and gotten out my plastic picks I decided to try something else just to test things before I opened the adapter ...
I took a razor blade and some packing tape and cut a thin piece of tape (about 1/16" or 3/32") that gradually widened towards one end (to hold the tape easier) ...
Then I set the tape in place over pin 4 and pressed it down with a bobby pin ...
I folded the tape back over the outside of the plug and cut the excess off ... then slowly plugged the adapter into the TP ....
Well it worked like a dream ... I had only planned on leaving it there temporarily but I have un-plugged and plugged the adapter in over 20 times now and the tape hasn't moved so its stayin
