It's one thing to get a defective device or two, but you have exceptionally bad luck if you're going through 3, 4, 5 or more replacements. Although at the same time, the chances of getting yet another defective 6700 are slim so you should be fine there.

Honestly there is nothing wrong with the 6700 to make anyone "deserve" a free upgrade to the 6800. Plenty of us are still using them with no major problems whatsoever--especially with the newest ROM upgrades.

It occurs to me that Sprint may have stocked way up on 6700s to help stem this tide of people trying to get a free upgrade to the improved model.

If you want to whine and complain to Sprint until they relent and give you a 6800 to shut you up then go right ahead, but you've got to expect this kind of response if you're going to talk about it here like it is owed to you.

Or do it the legitimate way: take the new 6700 they give you, sell it on ebay and use that money with a couple hundred $ of your own and buy the 6800... nothing wrong with that.
