Basically with me it was truem my apache broke and i really needed a phone, and told them that and really wanted to stay with sprint, but was considering getting an Iphone and I have been a customer for almost 10 years, and would hate to leave, and they went ahead and done it, I have done this several times when my phones have broken in the past.
Just dont take NO for an answer just keep talking, if they say no ask for a supervisor and they will probably do it, just remember to be nice to everyone you talk to.
