Yes, but some people don't want to unlock their phones before having to flash a radio. Using this update, your warranty will not be void if something goes wrong.

at some point, I have to flash to something stock to bring my device in for them to look at my external speaker - it's kinda fuzzy, not blown..but may be faulty....

Haha, your welcome. I've heard of the speaker thing before... did it just happen in normal usage? or did you try the louder speaker audio thing thats stickied somewhere?
