Keep in mind the FCC will only let one carrier (think VZW) get so big before they step in a regulate them out the yin/yang. Many of you peeps here aren't old enough to remember AT&T's divestiture back in the 80's.

Some things come full circle (AKA VZW buying Alltel, which was comprised of several GTE markets that were spun off/sold off/forced off with the BA/GTE merger) and history tends to repeat itself. Landlines and wirelines have their place in the world, but wireless is the here, now and immediate future.

Honestly, I have no love at all for Sprint. When I had their service it sucked and always had problems. Their customer service is only called so as they handle the "Customers" that call in/walk in and little else, lack of service more like it.

Bottom line is Spring may change names, but they won't actually "go away" or "go under"
Good point!
