I HAD TO REPLACE MY TREO800W ALREADY I HAD THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM, DIFERENCE IS MINE DIDNT CHARGE AT ALL, BUT MY TEXT MESSAGE TONE KEEP GOING BACK TO DEFAULT, I HAD MY NEW ONE FOR A WEEK NOW IT HASNT GIVING ME ANY PROBLEMS YET, IAM SURE THE BEST IDEA IS TO INSTALL THE USBUPDATE TO FIX THE CHARGIN PROBLEMS, WHEN I FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS APDATE IT WAS TO LATE I HAD ALREADY REPLACE MY TREO800W.
THE USBUPDATE WILL HELP WITH THE CHARGING PROBLEMS, HERE IS WHAT YOU HAVE TO CHECK BEFORE INSTALING THE UPDATE:
- Press Start
. Select Settings.
- Select the System tab. Open About. Go to the Phone tab.
- Look at the Software Version. What do you see?
- Treo800w-1.03-SPNT: Yes, you should install this update.
- Any other numbers: No, this update will not work with your device.
