just got the 6800, how to flash 99% success rate

I bricked my 6700 while using vista. unforseen circusmtances led to me throwing it eventually against the wall.

I want to flash my 6800 but without going through frustration. Is there anything I need to do/know if I'm using windows vista, got the HTC 6800 from Bell, going from stock rom

On the tutorials it does not say that I should uncheck the "allow USB connection" but some people say that's why I got stuck. So do I???

What about the .net framework? Does it come already installed on windowsv vista ultimate?

I really don't want to brick this phone as I dished out 150$ for a used one. How should/can I do this?

Do I have to change the bootloader?

Is there another update with Vista?
