Let me explain my steps. I had a recently deactivated Verizon XV6900. I followed the instructions and used the unlocker...then flased with Bell OEM for radio upgrade (I installed the Verizon carrier cab and still could not make calls)...Then I installed M2D v3 to see if that made a difference but it was the same. I again tried the Verizon carrier cab and even a newer one that i found but no luck.

After this was done I did an ESN swap with my current phone XV6900 on Verizon however I could not activate the phone via *228 etc. and when I try this it just tells me to call Verizon for help. Any help to point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated

Thanks
MV

Update on the above... After comparing my non-modded XV6900 to the one I modified, I realized that all of the necessary settings in the ##778 EPST menu were erased (I assume when you load any custom rom this is the case?). So, I added back my custom settings from the EPST that were on the non-modded phone, however there were a few like the HDR & PPP passwords for internet access under "Security" that were Upper ASCII that could not be manually entered as I did not have all of these characters available.

My current state:
-Phone working incoming/outgoing
-*228 activation or updates will not work (but maybe this is correct after an update? Please confirm)
-Internet/Data will not work, I assume since I cannot enter/copy the HDR/PPP passwords, this is why.
-Phone comes up as BellMobility not Verizon Wireless on today screen and is not Digial roaming anymore

A few thoughts/questions:
1) Is there an easy way to export these EPST settings and import them from/to another phone (using QPST or Bitpim)? Where is this data kept? in the rom or OS files somewhere?
2) Also, does a phone have to be activated before you complete the rom upgrade...Was this another issue since I swapped ESNs and made the modded phone active after it had the rom installed?

Sorry for all the noob questions but I am at a loss and have been searching so many threads that I am cross-eyed now today. Thanks
MV
