I see nothing wrong with that number and obviously people getting under 100% are doing something wrong with encoding their video optimally for the device.
The LARGEST flaw in the xda/wmpoweruser video test is theyre comparing a video played on DIRECTDRAW getting 170% to a RAWFRAMEBUFFER at 400% on the Omnia. does anyone else see the inherent flaw in that logic? (rawframebuffer is NOT using the 3d drivers, thats why).
Again the people complaining are the ones using it for off purposes like playing video games and such. if you have a properly encoded movie then it will run just fine and smooth, right along with the Omnia and other such devices. i seriously doubt HTC engineers sat there and said hey lets make sure this graphics driver was optimized for games like Quake. The video player runs just fine on it which is what their goal was
basically the problem is being GREATLY exaggerated past what it is. i wont deny it could be better, but its not as horrible as people are making it out to be. This is simply another case of people jumping on the bandwagon of an hyped internet article without thinking for themselves first and foremost.

My issues are strictly with videos. These are VGA videos encoded for my Axim X50v. I have yet to break 100% benchmark on any of them, which leads to clear visual slowdowns.
I am not going to re-encode them in FLV, that's an unrealistic and undesirable solution. Xvid or Divx encoding should be fine, that is the standard to work to.
Can we all please get on the same page before discussing further, and settle on a video clip to compare, so we can be sure we are getting uniform performance out of our devices? If someone's device is returning 20% better benchmarks than everyone else's, then that is the reason that person does not feel graphics performance is a problem, and we should look into just what the difference is.
