For me, the easiest way to change the system font is to pick the font you want and rename it to tahoma.ttf and tahomabd.ttf and then use resco file explorer or total commander to overwrite those two files located in the \Windows\ folder. Then soft reset, works like a charm for me. If you are on stock, sometimes it doesn't work right, so you have to rename the old one, then copy the new one and the soft reset (i think). But with custom roms it has always worked for me. Currently I'm using helvetica and it looks nice.
