The spring is pretty strong.
It has a piece of rubber on the end of the spring clip to prevent rubbing.
The inside is felted, and the rest of the clip has a rubber coating.

I love mine so far, its really good. I can just slam the phone in there and i know its safe. haha. I'm really rough on phones.
The back plate where the face rests protects the whole touch area as well, which sometimes makes it hard for me to flip the phone out, but thats alright.
I'm going to work on a review of it today I think. I'll post it.


No, there is no damage to my phone at all. I put it in there pretty hard sometimes just for fun.
I immagine if you have a version where the chrome paint comes off easy it would damage the paint there, but that one is replaceable for free from sprint.
