If you are using Skype through your data plan (or Wi-Fi) you will not be charged any minutes as you're not actively calling using Sprint's service.
Now, Skype has advanced (and pay) features where you can call a landline directly with it, and that costs money though Skype. But once again, it doesn't affect your Sprint minutes.
Only thing to keep in mind if you aren't connected through Wi-Fi when you do it - Skype tends to use quite a bit of bandwith, so Sprint might complain if you use it a lot during the course of a month. Frankly, I don't know at what point their 'unlimited' 'net becomes not-so unlimited.
Anyway - I tested out Skype last night through my Mogul (after downloading version 2.1 as 2.2 does not work as stated) and it worked great through my Wi-Fi network. I just needed a better wired headset as the mic in mine is a joke.
