As far as the Diamond, typing is just plain faster for me on the pro keyboard compared to the Diamond on screen keyboard. Not that the Diamond keyboard was hard to type on or anything, but I'm just a lot faster on the Pro. You said you have chubby fingers and don't have nails? You're going to hate typing on the Diamond. It requires fingertips/nails to be accurate.

However, the biggest thing for me was the storage card. I had the Diamond full of music faster than I realized. I had plenty of music, but if I wanted to add more, I had to get rid of some. Forget about movies. Now with my Pro, i have a 16gb, I have 5 movies, 5 gb of music, a ton of apps/pictures, and still 4 gb to spare. Not to mention when a 32gb card comes out, I can just put that in and be good to go.

The one thing about the Diamond is the fact that the FM radio can be made to work on it, where it's still not working on the Pro.

In short, if they ever re-released the Diamond with a card slot, I'd probably go back to it. The difference in keyboards isn't that great.
I don't mind using the stylus to "type" and in that I may be a lone gunman (HAHA), but it's the truth. My laptop is with me the majority of the time as I have an online business and it's basically a necessity. Tethering is a very nice thing for me and it's made me even more mobile.

Unfortunately, there are some things that are so much easier on a laptop than a smart phone. It's about a 50/50 split right now. 50% of my biz the phone is fine, 50% of the time I really need the laptop to work efficiently.

I am going to pick up the Diamond today or tomorrow and give it a run. I already miss the VGA screen, but I don't miss the size of the Pro, the weight and lack of a useful GPS.

PS - I do have fingernails, I just tend to keep them short.
