This browser is actually pretty excellent now. Sure, not as fast as opera mini or skyfire, but that's because those aren't actually loading the pages- their servers are doing to the work for you.
This is a REAL cleint-side browser, and that being said its quite good. I'm not sure why people think this is so much worse than opera mobile- it seems to require a smaller footprint than Opera Mobile, and the little transitions are cute and surprisngly smooth on a device with limited resources such as the Titan.

Their older beta was may have been crap, but this is not too shabby. I might start using this more as my primary browser...
