Kinoma has just been updated..
A new update, a new service: Introducing Picasa!
Kinoma is happy to announce that this new update adds a
new service — Google’s
Picasa Web Albums.
Kinoma Play’s new Picasa service lets you:
- Browse your photos and albums
- Edit your photo tags
- Upload photos directly into your photo albums
- Comment on photos
- View photos from your friends (PicasaWeb Favorites)
- Share your albums
- See recently-uploaded public photos
Other changes
As usual, Kinoma continues to make performance improvements, fix bugs, and improve device compatibility with every release. Here are the other notable changes in this release:
- MP3 files store metadata (like song and album names) in ID3 tags. Although ID3 tags with Unicode (UTF-
metadata are still rare, they’re now handled properly in all cases.
- We fixed an interaction with the Orb service that caused Orb > Music to be slow (sometimes unusably so) for people who had lots of audio files without artist/album tags.
- Setting the photo of people in your contact list (using Picture > Set Contact) is working reliably again — no more black pictures.
- This release uses a more reliable server for SHOUTcast search.
- Google Image search works again for customers running Kinoma Play in French, Spanish and Norweigian.
