The only time I have ever seen viruses, are in stupid emails that I don't want to
read in the first place, and when searching for "underground," stuff.
Looking for warez, illegal stuff, free stuff, whatever, that's when you find viruses. I have heard that companies are PAID to release stuff like that to deter the underground community.
Similar to when the recording industry was leaking songs to Napster that had weird noises/pops/messages inside them, to anger the users.
When someone sends me a video, greeting card, "funny song," or program, I just ignore the email. I don't open it, and even if it was not a virus, I am not interested in it in the first place.
I have never had a virus in my life, but I have found programs online that have embedded viruses, and they are almost always related to the saying that "nothing in life is free."
