I think you'll find that NES is only laggy because you're trying to use the keyboard. This has been a huge topic of discussion on XDA developers. I've been meaning to create a thread here.

Try an emulator with touchscreen controls. I think you'll find zero lag. Finalburn and Pico Drive are good examples. I was shocked when I tried them - because it became obvious that the keyboard was causing all of the speed issues.

There IS a bluetooth joystick called the BGP100 or something like that, made for cellphones. I have one - and it gets past the keyboard lag issues. Emulation is now as fast and fun as I'd expect. SNES is still about half speed - but I expected no better. A fun way to pass the time has been to connect my phone to the TV - and play games with the bluetooth gamepad.

That said, in general I can't recommend the controller. The build quality is terrible - buttons pop out of place or stick all the time. There's a tiny bit of bluetooth lag. But right now, this is the only way to enjoy gaming on the Touch Pro. I hope someone figures out the keyboard issues with the CDMA touch pro. Some GSM users, including stock European users - report zero lag with the keyboard, and great emulation support. I'm hoping a CDMA ROM can be developed to eliminate the keyboard lag as well.
