I understrand completely. All I am saying is how can you keep the item and the money? I myself called Sprint about this suspected fraud 2x and the 1st time they hung up on me and the 2nd time they said don't worry this alleged fraud is impossible with their security measures.

Here is what I think is going on:

#1) Either they are turning a blind eye to this just to keep existing customers from leaving them by providing a loophole from end user to get new phones for cheap. By doing this people just like myself would not switch to AT&T for an iPhone if I can get a Diamond for $225 instead of $550 from Sprint (i have no discount). If this is true, Sprint is retaining more customers paying those huge everything plans which makes them more money in the long run especially when you keep your phone for a year or two without upgrading.

#2) They are building a big case like they did in Cali. That investigation started in 2005 for dealer fraud and arrest were made in April 2008. They need a huge figure like $1 million dollars or so and are trying to get as many people as possible (the big bosses) behind this. In the mean time Sprint does have insurance and do not take a 100% loss.

#3) Its not as big or widespread as people are believing and its just a few former/current Sprint or Asurion employees making a quick buck and not some huge fraud dealing like many are speculating. Nobody here knows 100% what is going on and are just speculating (which is fine).

I UPDATED THIS BECAUSE I AM BORED AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHICH NUMBER EVERYONE AGREES WITH. If you have your own theory or any concreate evidence to put our minds at ease that would be fine too. Like I said before, its all SPECULATION so don't go cursing me out or replying with STFU or noob. This is what forums are all about (discussions). If you don't agree with what's written then please state why. Seems Sprint really doesn't care to listen because they did not ask for any pertinent info such as sellers name, address etc. They may just think its a joke started online so if you call them please do not talk abot any forum because I think that raises a red flag that we (ppcgeek posters) are nut jobs still running a joke!
