The way its setup it just opens a google products page for the item you scanned, which for now is online only. If you can find a database of local stores pricing and inventory you can edit the options to point there instead. I have a feeling it will be a long time before we see something like that though.

isnt that how android's works? Do they just connect to a central database non-accessible to users outside of android or does it work exactly like this with google products?
